Academic Talent Searches
Text Box: Academic Talent Search programs identify precocious students who might benefit from fast-paced, advanced study opportunities. Using above-level standardized tests, like SAT, ACT, SCAT, or EXPLORE, the extent of the student’s talent can be more fully understood. Regional centers around the country run a variety of programs for students who qualify based on the advanced testing. In our region, the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins is the primary program. Distance learning from other talent centers across the country are available on the Internet.
